Our Story
Trannings Automotive Specialists first opened for business in April 2011, as a partnership between Mike Jennings and Andy Tranter.
The business steadily grew and became a limited company with effect from September 2014. Based in Newnham Business Park, Plympton we can provide services for clients across Devon and Cornwall.
We offer services to both our individual and commercial customers, specialising in Nissan and French car manufacturers. Whatever the problem, Trannings are dedicated to attend to your every need, whether this be a simple lightbulb change, or a complete engine rebuild.
We offer main dealer standard repairs and continue to invest heavily in diagnostic equipment to ensure we can offer a premium service but without the premier price tag. Our aim is always to ensure that a problem is fixed correctly, first time and we pride ourselves on providing the small touches that make our customers come back time and time again!
We have a fantastic track record of customer service and satisfaction, and continue to be rated as outstanding with Plymouth city’s ‘Buy with Confidence’ scheme.
Meet The Team
Andy Tranter
Technical DirectorHaving achieved his level 3 NVQ qualification, Andy worked for many years for garages within the Plymouth area, including Mumfords. Andy is a fully trained Nissan master technician and now uses these skills at Trannings, specialising in the quality diagnostic services that Trannings offer.
Chris Howells
Operations DirectorBefore joining Trannings, Chris worked for many years as a service manager for other local main dealers. Chris deals with the day-to-day running of the business. We pride ourselves on a warm welcome at Trannings, thanks to Chris’ commitment in providing a warm, friendly, and quality customer service.
